MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In Muzaffarabad, during a session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK)  Legislative Assembly, Former PM AJK presents resolution condemning India’s swift allegations against Pakistan following the recent Pahalgam incident.

Former Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, who moved the resolution, stressed the need for unity and decisive national response in the face of Indian propaganda.

Sharing his thoughts on the resolution, Raja Farooq Haider emphasised that this is not a time for political differences but a time to demonstrate national unity. “Everyone has their politics,” he said, “but this is the moment to show practical solidarity.”

He called on all political parties to momentarily set aside local issues and come together to respond strongly and collectively.

He pointed out that the incident occurred at 3:00PM, and by 3:05PM, India had already blamed Pakistan. He criticised the baseless accusations and called out India’s pattern of jumping to conclusions without evidence.

Haider quoted Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, saying he was right in calling the two-nation theory a continued reality. The Former PM AJK presented resolution supporting this stance and denouncing Indian attempts to create communal unrest.

“Modi is trying to turn this incident into a Hindu-Muslim conflict,” he said, adding that even though Muslims were also among the victims, the portrayal suggested religious hatred.

He warned that such a mindset is extremely dangerous and cannot be expected to stop here. Raja Farooq Haider also pointed out that Pakistan’s recent stability, its appointment to the UN Security Council, and incoming foreign investment have troubled India. “India is clearly uncomfortable with Pakistan’s progress,” he remarked.

Calling the current moment ideal, Haider said it was the right time to end the Simla Agreement. He stressed that people from occupied Kashmir, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit-Baltistan, and the rest of Pakistan are all watching closely to see what the National Security Committee will decide next.

He urged all political parties in Azad Kashmir to stand united and send a clear message of consensus and resolve to the world. He concluded by stating that India’s discomfort with General Asim Munir was evident, as the Indian media had launched a campaign against the Pakistani Army Chief.
