ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): There are employment opportunities in Germany for Pakistani nurses interested in working abroad.
According to the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE), there is a severe shortage of trained nurses in Germany and qualified nurses can provide their services across the country.
BEOE stated that a nursing degree or diploma is not automatically recognized in Germany. Therefore, Pakistani nurses can apply only after obtaining formal approval of their educational and professional qualifications from German authorities.
Each application is individually reviewed, including curriculum, training duration, and practical skills.
Nursing in Germany
For nursing in Germany, proficiency in German at B2 level is generally required. If there is a difference between Pakistani and German nursing standards, candidates may need to complete additional training programs or pass an academic examination.
BEOE has advised all interested Pakistani nurses to seek guidance only from the official portal of the German government. This portal informs candidates whether nursing is a regulated profession in Germany, which is the relevant provincial authority, and what steps need to be taken for approval.
