MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Electricity Operation Division Muzaffarabad has issued the electricity suspension schedule for the Muzaffarabad district on February 22, 2025.
As per the notification, necessary repairs and inspections of the 132KV grid station will be carried out on Saturday due to which additional load shedding will occur in various areas.
The notification stated that the repair work would continue from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. During this time, additional power will be cut off in the affected areas for about 60 minutes, it read.
The affected areas include RCC Bridge, Cantt Feeder, Nawan Shahr, Bilal Town, and Havelian under the 11KV feeder.
Similarly, the areas of Abbottabad, Mansehra, Ogi, Battal, and Jaburi under the 66KV grid station will also be affected.
According to the Electricity Department, works such as complete testing of busbars, tightening of overhead droppers, and installation of skywire will be carried out during the repairs.
The department has requested the public to make alternative arrangements and exercise caution in using electricity to avoid any problems.
Earlier on Monday, the AJK Electricity Department announced the suspension schedule of the power supply for Kotli district.
According to the Electricity Department spokesperson, the power supply will remain suspended from February 17 to February 28 due to repair and branch-cutting work on various feeders.
Power will be shut off intermittently at different times in Kotli city and its suburbs to complete necessary maintenance, the notice said.
The areas that will effect from the power outage include Thalheer, Sardah, Ping Piran, Katia, Dhakhari, Sadiqabad, Jail Road, Roli Dhamul, Chowki Mong, Gulhar, Gulhar Colony, Karti, Tatta Pani and Goi.
Citizens have been directed to make alternative arrangements to avoid any kind of trouble.
