MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Police’s E-Police app has strengthened security efforts by enabling the arrest of 114 offenders and the recovery of 310 stolen vehicles through real-time access to national crime data.
E-Police Post (EPP) represents a mobile application developed by Azad Kashmir Police to boost security investigations along with verification operations. The technology-based program merges national crime databases to offer integrated important law enforcement data such as wanted people and vehicle and motorcycle theft information.
The EPP mobile application allows police teams to check 290,562 individual records and 132,342 vehicle records across Azad Kashmir since its deployment. Through widespread checks the system resulted in detaining 114 proclaimed offenders along with seizing 59 fugitives who were being sought by different police stations across Pakistan. The authorities took charge of the suspects to continue pursuing legal processes against them.
Through the app, police successfully located 155 stolen cars and 155 stolen motorcycles which disappeared from around Pakistan. The police returned the obtained vehicles first to their legal owners and then provided them to local law enforcement departments for additional examination.
E-Police Post serves its purpose as an operational tool in security operations throughout Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), which facilitates efficient and quick crime identification. The authorities request public assistance during standard security inspections while working to establish a region without crime in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The use of modern technology enables Azad Kashmir Police to develop their security protocols and protect the public while building a better approach to crime prevention. The digitisation of policing through the E-Police Post app is a huge step towards modernisation.
It has also improved crime detection, simplified verification, and improved data integration in Azad Kashmir. It enabled swift arrests, recovery of stolen vehicles, and efficient resource use. This technology-driven approach supports preventive policing, strengthens public trust, and sets a model for nationwide adoption.
