LEEPA VALLEY (Kashmir English): An open court was held in Leepa Valley under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jhelum Valley, Ms. Benish Jaral, and SP Syed Abbas Ali.
The ceremony was attended by Chairman District Council Tayyab Manzoor Kiani, officers from all departments of Jhelum Valley administration, and a large number of people.
In the open court, the public informed the district administration about various issues and needs, including the shortage of staff in educational institutions.
The complaint includes Rescue 1122 facilities, the need for bunkers on the Line of Control, shortage of police and traffic personnel.
After listening to the issues carefully, all the district officers assured to resolve them on a priority basis.
Deputy Commissioner Benish Jaral said in her address that the people of Leepa prefer collective issues over personal issues, which is welcome.
She said that all the issues will be taken up with the higher authorities. Issues like payment of compensation to the victims, provision of sheets for the roofs of houses, provision of land for the cemetery in Mujahideen Ghari Dupatta, filling the shortage of staff in educational institutions, and repairing the vehicles of Rescue 1122 will be resolved soon.
SP Syed Abbas Ali said that the shortage of police and traffic personnel is being filled, and more staff have been deployed.
The building of the Leepa police station will be constructed soon, while a service center has been established in Leepa, where online services are being provided.
He said that given the fears of terrorism, Section 144 has been imposed, and unnecessary hawkers are being stopped.
The people of Leepa thanked the Azad Kashmir government and the district administration for holding an open court at the local level and assuring them of hearing the problems and resolving them.
