Pakistan downs three Indian aircrafts, destroys brigade HQ in retaliatory strikes

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has confirmed that India has fired missiles from its airspace on at least three areas in Pakistan, including Bahawalpur, Muzaffarabad, and Kotli.

Speaking to a TV channel, DG ISPR said that cowardly India launched air strikes from the air at three places, including Subhanullah mosque in Bahawalpur’s Ahmedpur Sharqia in South Punjab, and Kotli and Muzaffarabad in Azad Kashmir.

“All of our air force jets are airborne. This cowardly and shameful attack was carried out from within India’s airspace. They were never allowed to come and intrude into the Pakistan airspace.”

Security forces said that the Pakistan Air Force has shot down three enemy aircraft, including two Rafale aircraft.

“All Pakistani Air Force aircraft are safe,” sources added.

PAF downs another Indian fighter jet

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter jets downed another Indian warplane, the third in hours, after they launched a retaliatory action against the enemy.

According to sources, Pakistani pilots showcased their prowess and hit three Indian fighter planes in a retaliatory action.

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has so far shot down three Indian Air Force fighter jets, including two Rafale aircraft, security sources confirmed.

Sources said that the latest Indian Rafale jet was downed 17 nautical miles southwest of Awantipora.

PM calls NSC meeting

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned what he called cowardly attacks by India on five locations inside Pakistan, vowing that the country has every right to respond with full force.

The prime minister has also summoned a meeting of the National Security Committee in Islamabad to review the situation.

The NSC meeting has been scheduled for 10 o’clock this morning, according to the Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.

“The enemy has once again shown its deceitful nature,” the premier said, adding that Pakistan reserves the right to give a powerful reply to Indian aggression.

He asserted that both the nation and the armed forces know well how to confront and defeat the enemy.

Pakistan gives a strong retaliatory response

Security forces said that the Pakistan Air Force has shot down two enemy aircraft. “All Pakistani Air Force aircraft are safe,” sources added.

“Pakistani forces are giving a befitting reply to Indian aggression.”

British media reported, Sky News said Pakistan has shot down an Indian Rafale fighter jet.

Furthermore, in retaliatory strikes, the Pakistan Army destroyed an Indian brigade headquarters, according to security sources.

A missile strike by Pakistani forces also wiped out an enemy post in the Dudhniyal sector along the Line of Control (LoC), the sources added.

Trump calls Indian attack ‘shameless’

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday afternoon that the recent Indian strikes against targets in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir were a “shame.”

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said he had just heard about the intensification of hostilities that had occurred in recent hours.

Trump hoped that the fighting between India and Pakistan would end “very quickly”.

3 martyred, 12 injured in Indian attack

Pakistan reported that at least three people died and 12 were injured, according to an initial assessment.

DG ISPR Gen Sharif told a local TV channel that five places were hit, including two mosques, and reported three deaths and 12 people injured.

One innocent child has been martyred while one woman and a man are seriously injured in the cowardly attack by India on Masjid Subhan in the Bahawalpur area, said security sources.

India targets Pakistan

Speaking to a TV channel at around 1:06 am, DG ISPR said that some time ago from now, the cowardly enemy India launched air strikes from the air at three places, including Subhanullah mosque in Bahawalpur’s Ahmedpur Sharqia in South Punjab, and Kotli and Muzaffarabad in Azad Kashmir.

“All of our air force jets are airborne. This cowardly and shameful attack was carried out from within India’s airspace. They were never allowed to come and intrude into the Pakistan airspace.”

“Let me say it unequivocally… Pakistan will respond to this at a time and place of its own choosing. This heinous provocation will not go unanswered.”

When questioned about potential casualties, DG ISPR said that damage assessments were continuing and that further information would be shared at a later point.
