RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): Commissioner Poonch Division Masood-ur-Rehman and Deputy Inspector General of Police Sardar Zaheer Ahmed have assured that the protection of life and property of the people is the first and foremost responsibility of the authorities.
They said were being made to provide facilities to the people of Poonch and resolve their problems.
They said various departments and divisional coordination officials regularly meet as part of the efforts to maintain law and order situation, in which a future strategy was also formulated considering all the issues across the division.
Poonch development projects
Timely release of development funds, completion of projects within the stipulated period, mutual liaison between various departments, release of funds for the newly-constructed building of the district jail, installation of cameras under the Safe City Project, completion of the Chak Hospital Project under the fast track, settlement of water supply issues at the authorities notice.
The Commissioner especially, expressed these views while talking to journalists during a visit to Ghazi-a- Millat Press Club (Registered) Rawalakot.
He said that the process of installing about 25 cameras across the city has also been completed, which will help a lot in the security and effective surveillance of the city and will also help in preventing criminal activities to a great extent.
Dhalkot Chowki Police has also been given the status of a police station, which will help in solving public problems.
He termed the arrest of the accused arrested by the Sudhanoti Police in a timely action at the entry point of Azad Kashmir a big success.
“Together we have to eliminate such crimes so as to have a peaceful atmosphere and environment in Azad Kashmir,” he added.
He said the accused involved in the murder of Sajjad Resham Shaheed will be brought to justice.
He said that journalism and administrative affairs are interrelated with each other, which identify problems.
