MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a tragic incident, the security personnel deployed with Azad Kashmir Minister Fahim Akhtar Rabbani opened direct fire on citizens in UC Nerian area, Mangriot Cross in Sadhnoti district, Azad Kashmir.
According to sources, the citizens tried to discuss public issues with Fahim Akhtar Rabbani. The associates of Government Minister Sardar Fahim Akram Rabbani allegedly tortured unarmed citizens, pelted stones, and opened fire in public.
There are reports of several people being injured in the incident, including a disabled person, among the allegedly tortured citizens.
The locals had asked for only two minutes to speak to the government minister. The locals wanted to talk to the minister about the Betran road and other basic issues.
On the other hand, according to Khurshid Ahmed, media coordinator of government minister Sardar Fahim Akhtar Rabbani, a clash broke out between local workers of the Muslim League-N and supporters of government minister Sardar Fahim Akhtar Rabbani at Mangriot Cross in the UC Nerian area of Baloch Sadhnoti in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. A scuffle broke out between the two groups, resulting in a minor injury to a citizen named Rashid.
Government minister Sardar Fahim Akhtar Rabbani was on his way to the inauguration ceremony of BHU in Mangriot. Local workers of the PML-N and the workers of the government minister got into a fight after they blocked his path and tried to talk to him.
According to Khurshid Ahmed, media coordinator of government minister Sardar Fahim Akhtar Rabbani, PML-N candidate for local council ward Mangriot Muhammad Sarwar, along with other party workers, tried to block the road, on which he was asked to talk to the government minister at the Mangriot ceremony itself.
On which he tried to clash by blocking the road, but was thwarted. Khurshid Ahmed, media coordinator of the government minister, says that an attempt is being made to throw dust in the eyes of the people by propagating on social media.
The inauguration ceremony of BHU Mangriot is currently underway. In the past, too, the PML-N has been trying to sabotage construction and development works in the constituency with such low-level tactics.
