HATTIAN BALA (Kashmir English): A strong protest has been held against the unannounced load shedding of electricity in Saran, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The protesters have closed the main highway for all kinds of traffic.
Raja Haris was leading the protest, and a large number of people from the area participated in the protest.
The protesters said that the lives of the people have been disrupted due to the prolonged and unannounced load shedding. Domestic affairs, business and educational activities are being badly affected, while the concerned authorities have continued to remain silent spectators.
As soon as the incident was reported, SHO City Police Station Hattian Bala Manzar Hussain Chughtai reached the spot along with a team, and traffic was restored with the intervention of the administration.
Negotiations are ongoing between the administration and the protesters, while the protesters have threatened to expand the scope of the protest if their demands are not met.
