MUZAFFARABAD: The Additional Deputy Commissioner Muzaffarabad office has issued the new rates for chicken and other essentials including vegetables and fruits for February 27 (Thursday).
According to the notification issued by the Muzaffarabad price controller, the price of live broiler chicken is fixed at Rs. 480 per kilogram and the sale price of live breeder chicken meat is Rs. 340 per kg.
In addition, breeder chicken meat is priced at Rs. 440 per kilo, while the selling rate of domestic chicken is Rs. 1050 per kg.
Golden chicken have been priced at Rs. 850 per kilogram in the Muzaffarabad district. Prices of eggs per dozen for eggs weighing 40-50 grams have been fixed at Rs. 265 and for those weighing 51-65 grams at Rs. 285.
According to the notification, these rates will come into effect today February 27, 2025.
Shopkeepers will also have to advertise on a hoarding the rate list which they will be required to display in a conspicuous place.
They are not allowed to keep more than two broiler chicken meats for sale at a time. The government has particularly highlighted the significance of keeping shops and markets clean.
Muzaffarabad vegetables, fruits rate
The Deputy Commission has also approved and issued the rate list for vegetables and fruits across the Muzaffarabad district.
