CHARHOI (Kashmir English): A horrific incident has shaken the quiet town of Charhoi after the body of a missing youth, Syed Qaiser Abbas Shah, was found buried in the courtyard of a house in Plahl Rajgaan on Tuesday. The young man had been missing since July 13, after being abducted from the nearby village of Kala Dubb.

According to police sources, the house where the body was discovered belongs to Raja Farooq, who currently resides in the UK with his family. In his absence, Raja Aniq, son of Raja Shakeel, had been staying in the unoccupied house and allegedly turned it into a hideout.

Police raided the house early Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM, following a lead. During the operation, they discovered the body of Syed Qaiser Abbas Shah buried in the courtyard. The body was exhumed and taken into custody for legal and forensic procedures. The crime has sparked outrage across Charhoi and its surrounding areas.

Initial investigations suggest that Raja Aniq, along with his father Raja Shakeel, their driver Mirza Aamir from Mirpur, and three hired assassins from Peshawar, are involved in the murder. The contract killers have reportedly been arrested, while the main suspects are still at large.

The police have registered a case and expanded their investigation. Authorities say that interrogation of the arrested suspects is ongoing, and further arrests and significant revelations are expected in the coming days.

The incident has deeply disturbed the residents of Charhoi, with the victim’s family demanding swift justice. They have called for the arrest of all accused, including facilitators, and have urged the government to ensure the harshest possible punishment under the law.
