MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The members of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly Standing Committees on Communications and Works, and Ushr, Zakat, Social Welfare, and Women’s Development have elected their chairpersons.
According to the notification issued on Monday, the members of the Standing Committee on Communications and Works have elected Azhar Sadiq, member of the legislative assembly (MLA), as the Chairman of the committee.
The committee members include Minister for Communications and Public Works Sardar Zia Al-Qamar, Minister for Power Development Organization Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid, Minister for Higher Education Zafar Iqbal Malik, Minister for Religious Affairs and Endowments Muhammad Rafiq Nayyar, and MLA Sardar Mir Akbar Khan.
Similarly, another notification stated that the Standing Committee on Ushr, Zakat, Social Welfare, and Women’s Development elected MLA Sabiha Siddique as its Chairperson.
The committee comprises Minister for Ushr, Zakat, Social Welfare, and Women’s Development Sardar Muhammad Hussain Khan, Minister for Revenue and Stamps Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq, Minister for Communications and Public Works Sardar Zia Al-Qamar, Minister for Kashmir Cause, Arts and Languages Nabila Ayub Khan, and MLA Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail.
