CDWP allocates Rs 3.42 billion for Danish School in Azad Kashmir

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Central Development Working Party (CDWP) under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning and Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Ahsan Iqbal has approved Six projects for Danish schools for Azad Kashmir and Balochistan.

According to the government news agency, Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), the total cost of the six projects submitted by the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training is Rs 19.253 billion.

Rs 3.42 billion was approved for the establishment of Danish schools in Azad Kashmir, while a project of Rs 2.92 billion was approved for the Kan Mehtrai, Qila Saifullah district of Balochistan.

Danish school projects have also been approved for Sibi, Dera Bugti, Musakhel, and Zhob districts.

According to the report, all projects will be on a 50:50 cost-sharing basis between the federal and relevant provincial governments.

These institutions will provide education to students from grades 6 to 12 and equip them with modern technology, innovation, entrepreneurial thinking and digital literacy.

Notably, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced the establishment of 3 Danish schools in Azad Kashmir, the foundation stone of the Danish school has been laid in Bhimber, while the foundation stone in Bagh has been canceled twice.

During the meeting, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that currently more than 25 million children are out of school in Pakistan, which is a serious national problem.

In order to provide greater access and advance social justice, Ahsan Iqbal underlined that the amenities will also be available to scholars today.

He went on to say that Pakistan can empower its younger generation and supply a trained workforce to propel the country’s economy ahead by moving away from outdated rote learning methods and toward new pedagogical methodologies.

According to Ahsan Iqbal, the Danish Schools program is a significant step in creating an inclusive and progressive educational system, particularly for kids in underprivileged regions.

He stressed that it is imperative to increase the literacy rate to 90 percent so that the country can develop.
