LAHORE (Kashmir English): Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, visited Lahore Garrison here on Thursday.
During the visit, the CDF was briefed on the formation’s operational readiness, training standards, and measures aimed at enhancing combat efficiency, the military’s media wing said.
According to the press release issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief witnessed a specialized field training exercise where the army’s modern technologies were applied, thus revealing the military’s emphasis on innovation and flexibility to come up with future battle solutions.
Field Marshal Munir’s visit also included conducting sports and leisure activities inspections that were provided for the troops, emphasizing the importance of such activities in their being fit, strong in spirit, and in areas of health overall.
His next stop was a visit to one High Care Centre at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Lahore, where he applauded the healthcare personnel and management for the creation of a fully furnished, modern medical facility.
The army chief, while addressing the officers, reiterated the army’s policy of zero tolerance for any threats to national security, which also reaffirmed the military’s determination to use professional and determined ways to respond to the ever-changing challenges.
He pledged that the armed forces would remain faithful to the defense of Pakistan’s sovereignty, the inviolability of its borders, and internal peace, while at the same time promoting discipline, excellence, and selfless national service.
