Design and Features
The BYD Shark 6 PHEV offers a strong blend of modern looks, high-tech features, and eco-friendly performance. The Shark features a shark-inspired grille with a sculpted, aerodynamic front and LED lighting systems at both ends. The pickup rides on 18-inch wheels fitted with Continental tires. Additional elements include a shark-fin antenna, roof rails, and a design language said to draw inspiration from the Ford Raptor.
The interior is designed with a sporty black-and-orange theme and comes with top-tier features such as a rotating touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster, NFC keyless entry, and voice control. The truck also includes advanced driver assistance systems like blind spot detection, lane keeping, fatigue monitoring, and radar-based alerts.
Performance and Range
Under the hood, the BYD Shark 6 combines a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine with dual electric motors to deliver a powerful 321 kW output. It has a 58 kWh battery, offering an electric-only range of 80 km and a total driving range of up to 800 km. Estimated fuel efficiency is around 13 km per liter, making it one of the most efficient pickups in its class.
With the BYD Shark 6 PHEV launch date approaching, Pakistan is about to witness a major shift in the pickup truck segment. This move not only introduces advanced technology but also promotes environmentally friendly transportation.
