MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): A powerful earthquake tremor was felt today in Muzaffarabad, Leepa Valley, Rawalakot and other areas causing fear and panic among residents. People rushed out reciting Kalima, no official information has been released yet.
The sudden jolt forced people out of their homes as they rushed to safety, with many calling their loved ones to check on their well-being.
The residents of affected areas experienced panic when they felt a strong earthquake tremor move through the area. Relevant sources indicate the earthquake event produced no casualties or damage to property in its wake.
All the valley residents experienced panic shortly after the ground began to shake according to their descriptions. Residents immediately left their houses without hesitation yet some else chose to connect with relatives and companions by phone to verify safety. People maintained a state of heightened caution regarding indoor return because of their worry about aftershocks.
