Authorities issues emergency contact numbers for Punjab flood-hit areas

LAHORE (Kashmir English):  In view of the recent flood situation in Punjab, the district administration has issued emergency contact numbers for the convenience of the public.

Citizens can contact these numbers immediately in case of any emergency during the flood.

According to the details, the following numbers have been allocated in different districts:

According to the administration, citizens can contact these numbers in any emergency and get immediate help.

Earlier, the death toll from the Punjab floods had reached 30, according to Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb.

1.5 million people have been affected by the floods, and more than 481 thousand people have been shifted to safe places from the affected areas.

She said that 2,038 villages were affected by the flood waters of the three rivers, 1,169 from the Chenab River, 462 from the Ravi, and 391 villages were affected by the floods in the Sutlej.

The senior provincial minister said that 511 relief and 351 medical camps are providing round-the-clock assistance and care to the victims, and 6,373 victims are in relief camps.

More than 405,000 cattle have been shifted to safe places, and 321 veterinary camps are also working for the treatment of cattle.

808 boats are participating in the rescue mission, and 68,477 people have been rescued in thirty-six hours.
