Atta Tarrar offers Ishrat Fatima to join PTV

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has offered Pakistan’s renowned news anchor and broadcaster, Ishrat Fatima, to join PTV. Ishrat Fatima recently ended her 45-year-long career with Radio Pakistan.

The Information Minister appreciated Ishrat Fatima’s services and said that she has always worked professionally and has never been associated with politics. He said that Ishrat Fatima is the identity of PTV and requested her to come to the government channel as a mentor.

Ishrat Fatima thanked the Information Minister for the honor and said that this love and encouragement will always be remembered. She also spoke about her professional hard work, passion, and love during her career and said that reading news has not just been a job for her but an art, love, and passion.

She said that despite her merit, she was not always given the position she deserved in Radio Pakistan, and that was the reason why she had to decide to leave Radio Pakistan. Ishrat Fatima assured her fans that she would not completely disappear from the scene and would continue to share her experiences and memories through mobile or other means.

Ishrat Fatima has been awarded the Pride of Pakistan and the Medal of Excellence in recognition of her services. She was also a former host of Pakistan Television’s famous Urdu news bulletin “Khabarbanama” and is known for her excellent services in the field of sports and news reading at Radio Pakistan.

Ishrat Fatima is a resident of the federal capital Islamabad, the daughter of renowned journalist Waqar Anbalvi and a mother of two children.
