KARACHI (Kashmir English): Singer Asim Azhar and actress Merub Ali have ended their engagement, sharing the news with fans through a heartfelt message on social media. The couple, who got engaged in March 2022, called the decision mutual and respectful, asking for privacy during this time.
In a late-night Instagram story on Wednesday, the renowned singer Asim Azhar wrote that the choice was made after “a great deal of thought and reflection.” He added, “Merub and I have chosen to move forward on separate paths peacefully and mutually.”
“Salam everyone, We hope this message finds you well,” Asim Azhar began “We wanted to take a moment to share something personal, as we believe we owe that to those who have supported us, fans, friends, and well-wishers.”
The statement also showed deep respect for each other and their families. “We have the utmost respect for each other and the families involved, and always will. We kindly ask for your understanding and privacy during this time, and hope this is met with the same grace with which it is being shared.”
The message continued, “While we shared meaningful moments and genuinely hoped for a future together, life sometimes takes its own course.”
