ISLAMABAD: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the schedule for the Men’s T20I Asia Cup 2025, which will take place from September 9 to 28 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Earlier on Saturday, ACC President and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsinโ€ฏNaqvi confirmed that the 17th edition of the tournament will be held in the UAE.

The tournament will be played in T20I format ahead of the T20 World Cup and feature eight teams, an edition of two from the previous edition. The final of the tournament will take place at the Dubai Cricket Stadium.

The much-anticipated Indiaย andย Pakistan clash will be held on September 14, with two more potential games between them should both reach the final.

The development came after the controversy surrounding the Asia Cup 2025 host and disagreements over the ACCโ€™s Annual General Meeting, as India was due to host, but rising tensions with Pakistan brought the tournament into uncertainty.

However, the much-awaited ACC’s meeting was held in Dhaka on Thursday, under the chairmanship of council president Mohsin Naqvi, where the venue and dates for the tournament were finalised.

The tournament will begin with Afghanistan and Hong Kong facing off in Dubai on September 9.
