SRINAGAR (Kashmir English): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has denounced Indian home minister Amit Shah’s visit to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) as a desperate cover-up to deflect international scrutiny from India’s grave human rights abuses in the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar said, Amit Shah’s Kashmir tour is a staged drama to project a false sense of normalcy in a territory under illegal occupation of India.

Besides, Indian home minister’s presence in a UN-designated disputed territory is a cruel insult to the people enduring daily repression for raising demand for the UN-pledged right self-determination.

Shah’s visit meant to advance anti-Muslim agenda

The spokesman said the visit is also meant to advance the RSS’s anti-Kashmir and anti-Muslim agenda in the occupied territory.
