MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has taken notice of a contempt of court petition filed against AJK health department officers and the Medical Superintendent (MS) for allegedly disobeying a court order.

The petition claimed that despite a court directive, the respondents failed to provide records to the victims and made appointments on previous dates.

The court, in its order dated July 24, 2025, directed the respondent has been directed to submit a detailed written explanation regarding the non-issuance of certified copies of the merit list and appointment orders. The court has also directed the health department officials to remain present on every date of the hearing.

The respondent has been directed to issue all appointment orders and the complete merit list relating to the advertisement to the petitioners by Monday.

The court adjourned the further processing until August 4, 2025.

The petitioners had approached the court seeking relief in a matter related to appointments in the Health Department.

The court had previously directed the respondents to provide the necessary records, but the petitioners claim that the respondents have failed to comply with the court’s order.
