MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a move to celebrate Independence Day with patriotic zeal and zest, the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has issued a notification to all Elementary and Secondary schools requesting them to hold different competitions in schools and colleges.
According to the notification, instructions have been issued to organize speech competitions, national song competitions, and poster-making competitions in all public and private educational institutions.
Additionally, letters have been sent to all divisional heads and district education officers, and schools and colleges will hold competitions from August 11 to August 14 (Pakistan’s Independence Day).
Earlier, a shooting ball tournament was orgnaised in the IPS Ground Antilian, Leepa Valley. The honorable Minister of the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid, was the chief guest of the opening ceremony.
The grand participation of the public, officers of the Pakistan Army, local representatives, and dignitaries of the area in the ceremony turned it into a national gathering.
Additionally, the unveiling of the trophy, the opening match, speeches, fireworks, and patriotic slogans filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm.
The final match will be played on 14 August 2025.
