MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Anwarul Haq, has approved the addition to the official name of Minister Qasim Majeed.
As per the AJK cabinet division notification, the Minister of Mangla Dam Affairs, Qasim Majeed, is to be written and addressed as “Chaudhry Qasim Majeed” in official communications.
“The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister has approved the writing of ‘Chaudhry Qasim Majeed’ instead of ‘Qasim Majeed’ in communication,” the notification reads.
Chaudhry Qasim Majeeb, the leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), is the government minister and Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from LA-2 Mirpur-II constituency. His constituency covers the area of Chakswari in Mirpur District.
