MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has postponed the legislative assembly session that was earlier scheduled for December 12, 2025.
According to a notification issued on Thursday, a fresh session of the AJK Legislative Assembly will now be held on Tuesday, December 16, at 11:00 AM at Block No. 12, Civil Secretariat, Muzaffarabad.
The reason for rescheduling the session was not mentioned in the official order.
Earlier, the President summoned the session on Friday, December 12. According to the formal notification, the session will be held on Friday, 12th December 2025 at 02:00 hrs.
Important legislative matters and key government agendas are expected to be taken up during the sitting. The session comes at a time of increased political activity in the state, with preparations underway for upcoming elections and several governance-related issues under consideration.
This will be the first session of the assembly after the election of the new prime minister of AJK, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore.
