ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Former Vice Chairman Bar Council of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and former Prosecutor NAB Advocate Riaz Naveed Butt met Chairman Pasban Watan Pakistan Sheikh Mukhtar Ahmed Awan in Islamabad.
In the meeting, not only issues of mutual interest were discussed, but Riaz Naveed Butt also highlighted the political and social importance of Kashmir and also presented noteworthy suggestions regarding the better future of the youth across Pakistan.
Sheikh Mukhtar Ahmad Awan supported the views presented by Riaz Naveed Butt and appreciated his trust in Pasban Watan Pakistan.
AJK women’s handball team
Furthermore, AJK team is in Sialkot to participate in the HEC All Pakistan Women’s Handball Championship.
A colorful ceremony was held at Government College Women University Sialkot to mark the beginning of the event.
Ten team including HEC, Punjab, KPK, Azad Kashmir, WAPDA and Army are participating in the HEC All Pakistan Women’s Handball Championship.
The chief guest at the ceremony was Vice Chancellor GCWUS Prof Dr Shazia Bashir, while the guests of honour were Director Sports HEC Javed Memon, Olympian and former player of Pakistan Hockey Team Junaid Khawaja and President Pakistan Handball Federation Haji Shafique.
Speaking on the occasion, Olympian and former player of Pakistan Hockey Team Junaid Khawaja said that he was very happy to be at this event.
He announced that soon, in collaboration with the HEC, he will establish an academy for students of the university so that they could further brush up their talent.
President Pakistan Handball Federation and Secretary Asia Handball Federation Haji Shafique spoke about the performance of Pakistan Handball team in Olympics and Asian Games.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary of the Pakistan Handball Federation Saqlain Kousar, Director Sports Punjab University Dr Shabbir Sarwar, alumni executive members, heads of all departments of the university and a large number of students.
