MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Mirpur Regional campus hosted its highly anticipated Educational and Career Counselling Open Expo here on Tuesday.
The event was aimed to provide students and professionals with valuable career guidance and insights into academic and vocational opportunities.
Brig. (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed, Vice Chancellor Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur inaugurated the day- long grand event visited by hundreds of people including students, academia, parents, lawyers, journalists, poets and other city elite belonging to all walks of life.
In his opening remarks, he highlighted the importance of bringing together diverse educational and professional institutions under one roof. The event featured stalls from government and private organizations, including schools, colleges, academies, universities, technical institutes, IT training centers, medical institutes, NGOs, and various other institutions.
Attendees had the opportunity to explore these stalls, engage with experts, and gain valuable guidance on educational opportunities, vocational training, and career development.

Speaking to the media, Faisal Shahzad, Regional Director of AIOU, Mirpur, emphasized the significance of career expos in shaping the future of students and professionals.
He also outlined the key objectives of the event as guidance for students and professionals, exposure to opportunities and facilitating interactions among students, employers, educators, and professionals to encourage collaboration between academic institutions and industries.
Faisal Shahzad also officially welcomed participants and reiterated the crucial role of such events in fostering educational growth and career success.
