AIOU Mirpur campus to host day-long expo today

MIRPUR (Kashmir English): The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Mirpur campus is going to host a day-long Open Expo and Career Counselling session today (February 18).

The proceedings will start at 10:00 am. The initiative aims to provide career guidance and opportunities for students and professionals alike.

According to Regional Director AIOU Mirpur, Faisal Shahzad, the expo will bring together a diverse range of educational and professional institutions, featuring stalls from private and government organizations.

Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed Vice Chancellor of Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) will inaugurate the event.

The expo promises to offer valuable career guidance and insights into vocational training, educational opportunities and social development initiatives.

The participants will have the opportunity to explore stalls and interact with representatives from participating institutions.

Shahzad said that such expos play a crucial role in shaping careers and fostering educational growth.

He invited the institutions and general public to ensure their timely presence at the venue to be part of the significant event.

AIOU main campus

Furthermore, AIOU main campus in Islamabad is also organizing Education Expo 2025 on February 26.

The expo will feature stalls from various industrial institutions and universities, providing information about admissions and highlighting revolutionary advancements in sustainable development, modern research and technology. In addition, food stalls will also be set up.

A poster competition will also be a feature of the event. Students from different educational institutions will take part in the competition.

The most exciting feature of this grand event will be a surprise lucky draw, where winners will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with other valuable prizes.

The management has asked the students intending to take part in the draw, to immediately contact the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization at the university to seize this opportunity.

With entry to the expo free, the University has invited students from schools, colleges, and universities along with their parents to attend the event. Families from the twin cities are also invited to participate in the event.
