KARACHI (Kashmir English): The several-day-old body of actress Humaira Asghar Ali was recovered from an apartment located in Ittehad Commercial in Karachi’s Defense Phase 6 on Tuesday, the police said.
According to the details, the police had arrived at 3:15 pm today to vacate the apartment on a local court order as the owner of the flat had filed a case for rent. Police said that they broke the door to enter the flat, where they found the woman’s body lying on the ground.
The police’s Crime Scene Unit collected the evidence from the flat, and the body has been sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for postmortem, the Gizri police said.
Police said that she had died around two weeks before the discovery. The deceased actress had been living in the flat for 7 years alone.
According to police surgeon Dr. Samia, the body of the woman brought to the hospital is mutilated. Samples have been collected from the body. The real cause of the woman’s death will be revealed after the postmortem report.
