ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): A new study has revealed that academic pressure may leave teenagers with more mental health risks.
It found that the pressure for straight “As” can have a deep and long-term effects on students in teen years.
Academic stress
The study found that individuals who experienced higher levels of academic stress at the age of 15 were more likely to suffer from depression in early adulthood.
The research also suggested that such pressure is associated with an increased risk of self-harm, a trend that may persist up to the age of 24.
Experts have warned that excessive pressure related to academic performance can lead to serious consequences for young people’s mental well-being.
