ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Thunderstorms and rain continue across Azad Kashmir, making the weather colder in the region.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, another spell of rain has started in the country due to the entry of westerly winds.
The weather will remain intermittent until March 31. Cloudy weather is expected in most parts of the country.
Snowfall is expected in the mountainous region. Thunderstorms are also expected in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Rain is expected in Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, and Mansehra.
Cloudy weather will also be seen in Abbottabad, Haripur, Balakot, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Orakzai, Kurram, Kohat, and Hangu. Rain is also expected in these areas. Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Dera Ismail Khan, and Waziristan will also experience the rainy weather.
The meteorological department has said that hailstorms may occur in plain areas. Snowfall is expected in the upper parts.
Heavy rain forecast for Balochistan, flood risk warning
In Balochistan, cloudy weather is expected in most districts, and there is a good chance of rain in Kech, Panjgur, Awaran, Lasbela, Hub, Gwadar, Khuzdar, Sorab, Kalat, and Noshki.
Heavy rain is expected in Kharan, Mastung, Quetta, Bolan, Ziarat, Harnai, Kachhi, Sibi, Kohlu, and Barkhan. Thunderstorms with heavy rain are also expected in Dera Bugti, Zhob, Musakhel, Sherani, Loralai, Qila Saifullah, Qila Abdullah, and Chaman.
The authorities issued warnings that there is a risk of light to moderate flooding in the mountainous streams due to heavy rains, especially in Khuzdar, Kech, and the northern districts.
The recent rainfall has been recorded in Swat, Dir, Pattan, and Timergara, where 4 mm of rain has been recorded in Dir and 1 mm of rain has been recorded in Kalam, Pattan, and
