LAHORE (Kashmir English): Lahore Qalandars batsman Fakhar Zaman has crossed an important milestone in the Pakistan Super League 11.
Fakhar Zaman achieved this feat in the opening match of PSL 11 being played between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kingsmen at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Fakhar Zaman has completed 3,000 runs in the Pakistan Super League. He completed 3,000 runs in the 98th innings of the PSL.
Fakhar Zaman is the second player to complete 3,000 runs in the PSL, with Peshawar Zalmi’s Babar Azam leading the way with 3,792 runs.
LQ vs HK
Earlier, Lahore Qalandars defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by 69 runs in the opening match of HBL PSL 11.
In the match played between LQ vs HK at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Lahore Qalandars won the toss and elected to bat against Hyderabad Kingsmen.
Batting first, Lahore Qalandars scored 199 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Qalandars opener Fakhar Zaman played an innings of 53 runs off 39 balls, hitting 10 fours.
Apart from him, Haseebullah Khan remained not out after scoring 40 runs, while Muhammad Naeem scored 30 runs.
In response to the target of 200 runs, Hyderabad Kingsmen team was bowled out for 130 runs off the last ball.
Hyderabad Kingsmen captain Marnus Labuschagne stood out by scoring 26 runs. Riley Meredith scored 19 and Hassan Khan scored 14 runs. Haris Rauf, Sikandar Raza and Obaid Shah took two wickets each.
Lahore Qalandars’ playing XI included Muhammad Naeem, Abdullah Shafiq, Fakhar Zaman, Pervaiz Hussain, Haseebullah, Sikandar Raza, Asif Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Mustafizur Rehman and Obaid Shah.
Hyderabad Kingsmen’s playing XI included Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Marnus Labuschagne, Kaushal Perera, Irfan Niazi, Rizwan Mahmood, Hassan Khan, Hammad Azam, Rylee Meredith, Muhammad Ali and Akif Javed.
