BHIMBER, AJK (Kashmir English): Bhimber police have resolved the blind murder case of one Tanveer Hussain, who was killed in Pothi Peth on the night of March 12, 2026.

The victim’s wife and her lover turned out to be the killers, and both suspects have been arrested by the police.

Bhimber police stated that on the night of March 12, 2026, 32-year-old Tanveer Hussain, son of Abdul Aziz, was found dead in the veranda of his residential house in Pothi, lying on a cot with a gunshot wound to the back of his head.

A case was registered for this incident, and Inspector Arshad Mahmood, SHO City Police Station Bhimber, initiated the investigation. Since it was a blind murder, the investigation began simultaneously from several angles.

It was confirmed that the victim was shot at very close range to the head. The victim was previously active in various civil cases and other social activities and introduced himself as an assembly candidate in elections.

The police used all investigative resources and issued directives for a thorough investigation to trace the victim’s possible civil disputes, possibilities of murder during robbery or dacoity, or any other cause of murder.

During the investigation, based on suspicious activity, Ms. Iram (the victim’s wife) and Abdul Samad, son of Liaquat Ali, resident of Pothi Mera, were included in the investigation.

Their illicit sexual relationship was confirmed, and the suspects revealed that they had started planning to kill the aforementioned Tanveer Hussain about a month and a half ago after mutual consultation.

According to the police, for this purpose, Abdul Samad had bought a 30-bore pistol for the victim’s wife, Iram, and also trained her to use the pistol.

On the evening of the incident, there was a heated argument between the husband and wife, after which Iram shot and killed her husband, Tanveer Hussain, with the same 30-bore pistol while he was asleep. After the incident, she threw the weapon into a nearby well.

According to the police, the weapon has been recovered from the well as indicated by the accused.
