KOTLI (Kashmir English): Unknown individuals on Friday attacked and vandalized the Press Club building in Nakyal Tehsil of Kotli district.
According to the details, the unidentified person broke the windows, floors, tiles, and pipes of the Press Club and fled the scene.
The local journalists complained to the Nakyal Police Station and protested at the Tehsil Press Club, demanding action against miscreants.
Tehsil Press Club President Abdul Qayyum Tahir, Patron-in-Chief Syed Qamar Abrar, General Secretary Sardar Sajid Sadozai, and former President Abrar Alam demanded action against the elements who vandalized the Press Club, saying that journalism is the fourth pillar of the state, but journalism is not being protected.
Journalists said that the government and the administration should take action against the mischievous elements involved in the attack on the Nakyal Press Club so that the property used by journalists can be secured for the future.
