ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority NEECA Managing Director, Hamayon Khan, haspresented the application procedure for the fan replacement program ”Roshan Pankha Roshan Pakistan Program”, which enables government-sponsored fan replacements through energy-efficient models that decrease electricity expenses and save customers money.
Khan announced to journalists that program applicants need to start their application process by visiting the official online portal at efan.gov.pk and selecting the fan replacement section.
How to Register for the Fan Replacement Program
You can apply for the program through the following steps:
Access the Application Portal
- Visit the official program website: https://efan.gov.pk
- You can download the mobile application from both the Android and Apple App Store through this alternative method.
Sign Up and Check Eligibility
- The application form requires you to provide both your CNIC details and your electricity bill information.
- The system will automatically verify your eligibility and inform you of the financing limit available for fan replacement.
Select and Order Fans
- You must select the number of energy-efficient fans needed for installation, which should match the count of inefficient fans currently operational at your property.
- The fan manufacturer will arrange a home visit after you complete your order to replace your current fans with NEECA-labelled 5-star energy-efficient fans.
- The installer will take photographs of both the old and new fans for record-keeping.
- The old fans will be rendered unusable by drilling to ensure they are not reused.
Confirm Installation
The successful installation will be confirmed through the NEECA Online Portal after the fan manufacturer receives payment for the installation fee.
Repayment Through Electricity Bill
The new fan expenses will be included in monthly billing starting from next month, which allows customers to repay through equal monthly payments.
Who Can Apply?
The program defines eligible participants who can submit applications. Yes, you can apply for the Prime Minister’s Fan Replacement Program if you meet the following criteria:
Valid CNIC: You must possess a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) issued by NADRA. Your residential electricity bill must be registered under your name to prove that you own the electricity meter.
Timely Payment History: You should not have more than four delayed payments in your electricity bills over the past 24 months. Your electricity bill history shows that you have not used payment plans during this time period.
This system requires applicants to demonstrate their pattern of making timely payments.
Registered SIM: You must apply using a SIM card that is registered against your CNIC. This is to verify the authenticity of the applicant. The program only allows domestic electricity consumers to participate in the program because commercial and industrial consumers do not qualify for eligibility.
PM’s Fan Replacement Program provides funding to eligible applicants who meet all program requirements.
Can you subscribe to the Program if I don’t have any Old Fans?
No. The program requires you to replace your old energy-inefficient fans with new energy-efficient fans. You need to have existing fans installed at your premises so you can apply for replacement.
