SIALKOT (Kashmir English): The newest Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise, Sialkot Stallionz, has signed four more players for the 11th edition of PSL, scheduled from March 26 to May 3.
Taking on social media today, the franchise confirmed four “retentions”, including Mohammad Nawaz, Salman Mirza, Ahmed Daniyal, and Saad Masood.
According to the details, Nawaz was signed in the Platinum category for Rs61.6 million, while pacer Salman signed for Rs39.2 million in the Diamond category, secured a deal worth Rs39.2 million.
Ahmed Daniyal secured a deal worth Rs22.4 million in the Gold category, whereas Saad was picked in the Emerging category for Rs8.4 million.

For the upcoming auction, franchises have been allotted a total budget of Rs 450 million. Stallionz have so far spent Rs131.6 million on their retained players.
Stallionz sign Steve Smith
Earlier, Stallionz announced the signing of former Australia captain Steve Smith, confirming one of the biggest direct signings of the tournament’s history.
The franchise announced through its official social media accounts. “One of the Biggest Signings in PSL History: A game-changer, powerhouse player— we welcome Steve Smith on board as a Stallion,” it wrote on social media.
Smith will feature for the first time in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) this year, as he previously played several top T20I leagues, including the Big Bash League (BBL), The Hundred, the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Most recently, he featured in BBL 15 for Sydney Sixers, scoring 299 runs in six matches, including a century and two fifties.
On January 29, Stallionz also appointed former Australian wicketkeeper-batter Tim Paine as their head coach.
Paine brings significant experience, having represented Australia in 35 Tests and 35 ODIs, while also leading the national side in Test cricket.
The franchise is owned by OZ Developers, led by Hamza Majeed, who acquired the team during a high-profile auction held in Islamabad on January 8.
