BHIMBER (Kashmir English): Taking action on the petition filed by district traffic inspector Bhimber, the sub-divisional magistrate has banned the entry of heavy vehicles from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm in the city.
According to the notification issued on Monday, the district traffic inspector complained that during the morning working hours, large vehicles (goods carriers) enter Bhimber City to deliver goods across all markets. Shopkeepers also argue with traffic police officials to unload their goods near the shop.
The inspector said that large vehicles not only create disruption on the road but also affect the flow of other vehicles. Citing the reason, the traffic chief expressed the necessity to ban the entry of large vehicles into the city from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and to implement Section 144 CrPC.
“Therefore, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bhimber, in the exercise of the powers under Section 144 CrPC, hereby orders that no person/persons shall enter the city of Bhimber from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., nor shall any other person (including myself) instigate or incite any person to enter the city of Bhimber from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with any heavy vehicle,” the notification read.
The SDM also warned of strict action against the violator under Section 188 of the IPC.
“The SHO Police Station Bhimber will announce this order. This order shall remain in force for a period of three months from the date of its implementation.”
