KARACHI (Kashmir English): A fire broke out at the Al Najeebi Electronic Mobile Market in the Saddar area of ​​Karachi on Monday night, which was brought under control by swift response from the fire rescue teams.

According to the rescue officials, four vehicles of the fire brigade took part in the operation to extinguish the blaze.

The officials said that the fire broke out at seventh floor in the parking of the mobile market and engulfed several cars parked there.

Taking on X, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab confirmed that the situation of the fire is under control so far, and KMC fire tenders with snorkels are present on the ground to tackle the situation.

“People are being evacuated as we speak. Will keep everyone posted,” he posted on X.

Due to the fire, the roads on both sides were closed for traffic, and traffic was diverted from Bambino Chowk to Grammar School and from Gulzar Chowk to Empress Market.

According to fire brigade officials, Rescue 1122 entered the building, and the cooling process is underway.
