MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Raja Tahir Mumtaz Khan has assumed the charge of the Commissioner Mirpur Division post and started performing his duties, the statement from PID Azad Kashmir said.
Deputy Commissioner Chaudhry Sajid Aslam, Collector Affairs Mangla Dam Raja Tariq Mahmood, Assistant Commissioner Raja Zahid Hussain, Revenue Officer Raja Ayaz Ahmed Khan, Naib Tehsildar Islamgarh Chaudhry Altaf Hussain, and all the employees of the Commissioner’s Office met Commissioner Tahir Mumtaz and congratulated him on his appointment.
The commissioner told the officers and staff that the Commissioner’s Office and the Revenue Department are important institutions of the state, and all the employees associated with these institutions have heavy responsibilities to treat the citizens who come to the offices with kindness in accordance with the law and rules, solve the immediate problems of the people and deal with their legitimate complaints on priority basis.
The work of any questioner should not be stopped without reason, he said, adding that Mirpur division is an important division of the state and a large number of its residents are living abroad.
In this regard, the problems of overseas people across the division should be resolved on a priority basis, Tahir Mumtaz said. He further said that in the next few days, a solid strategy will be adopted to resolve all the problems and issues.
“The employees should maintain office discipline and solve the problems of the people at the earliest opportunity according to the law and rules, and treat them with kindness,” he added.
