SYDNEY (Kashmir English): The Philippine government has confirmed that Bondi Beach attackers Sajid Akram and Naveed Akram visited the Philippines in November on Indian passports.

According to a spokesman for the Philippine Immigration, Sajid Akram, 50, and Naveed Akram, 24, arrived in the Philippines from Sydney on November 1 as Indian citizens, and the father and son left the Philippines on November 28.

Australian police are investigating the purpose of the attackers’ trip to the Philippines. Police had previously said that the two attackers had visited the Philippines last month and received military-style training there.

India and Israel had previously carried out propaganda against Pakistan regarding the Bondi Beach attackers, saying that the attackers were from Pakistan. However, Australia’s Home Affairs Minister clarified that Naveed Akram is an Australian citizen. A friend of Naveed Akram told Australian media that Naveed Akram’s father is from India, while his mother is an Italian citizen.

Earlier, Indian, Israeli, and Afghan media had named another Pakistani citizen, Sheikh Naveed, as the attacker, to which Sheikh Naveed released a video statement and said that I am not Naveed Akram, I am Sheikh Naveed, and I have no connection with the attackers.

After the confirmation of the Philippine government, the fact of the visit on the Indian passport has come to light, which exposed the false propaganda of India and Israel and proved that Sajid Akram and Naveed Akram were Indians.

It should be noted that, according to Indian media, Australian intelligence agencies contacted the Indian government about the Sydney incident and questioned Indian authorities regarding the attackers.
