DOHA (Kashmir English): Pakistan Shaheens defeated Bangladesh A in the final to win the Asia Cup Rising Stars T20 title.

After the match was tied in the stipulated 20 overs, the game was decided in the super over.

Bangladesh team was dismissed for 6 runs in the super over. Pakistan achieved the target of 7 runs in the super over in four balls.

In the final match played in Doha, in response to Pakistan Shaheens’ 125 runs, Bangladesh A could score 125 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.

Saad Masood was the top scorer for Pakistan Shaheens with 38 runs. Arafat Minhas scored 25 runs and Moaz Sadaqat scored 23 runs. Yasir Khan, Mohammad Faiq and Ghazi Ghauri were dismissed early, limiting the team to a low score in the allotted 20 overs.

For Bangladesh A, Ripon Mandol took 3 wickets in 4 overs, Rakbul Hasan took 2 wickets while SM Mehrob and Jaishan Alam took one wicket each. Abdul Ghaffar Saqlain also took one wicket.

In the reply innings, Bangladesh’s early partnership provided a good start, but Pakistan Shaheens’ attack quickly took control of the match. Arafat Minhas, Saad Masood, Sufyan Muqim and Moaz Sadaqat kept Bangladesh under constant pressure by taking wickets at crucial moments.

In the last overs of Bangladesh, Abdul Ghaffar Saqlain and Ripon Mondal made the match thrilling by hitting 3 sixes, but the winning attempt failed on the last ball.

The Bangladesh team scored 125 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, and the match was tied. The match was decided in the super over.

In the super over, Bangladesh, batting first, gave Pakistan Shaheens a target of 7 runs to win, which Pakistan achieved on the fourth ball without losing any wicket.
