Known for its challenging environmental conditions, the Desert is in the southeastern region of the country. It is part of the larger desert, which also extends into India.

Made up of rolling sand hills, the area is famous for its arid landscape.

The area is home to many indigenous plants, including herbs, grasses, trees, crop pests like grasshoppers, locusts, and acridids.

Water scarcity is the salient feature of the region which limits agriculture.

The Desert is a popular destination for tourists because of its unique landscape and culture while the locals are known for their hospitality.
