MIRPUR (Kashmir English): In a remarkable achievement, the Azad Kashmir Public Health Department on Tuesday declared the Divisional Headquarters Teaching Hospital, Mirpur, as a Center of Excellence.
The notification issued by the Secretary Health Muhammad Farid stated that the hospital was recognized for its exemplary healthcare services, unwavering professional commitment, and high standards of patient care.
After his recent visit to Mirpur, the Secretary Health appreciated the dedication and professionalism of the administrative, medical, and nursing teams, as well as the hospital’s remarkable progress in advancing healthcare delivery for the people of Mirpur and the surrounding districts.
“I also wish to particularly commend the outstanding work undertaken in implementing and optimizing the Health Management Information System (HMIS) through your internal resources,” the statement quoted the Secretary Health.
It further added that the institution’s outstanding performance in both clinical services and digital health innovation sets a benchmark for other healthcare facilities in the region.
“The Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir reaffirms its full support to sustaining and further enhancing the standards that have earned this distinguished recognition,” the notification reads.
