MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a special session of the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Indian atrocities, repression, violence, and unconstitutional measures in occupied Kashmir were unanimously condemned in strong terms.
In the session, all political parties expressed solidarity in favor of the Kashmir freedom movement and termed India’s actions of August 5, 2019, as constitutional terrorism to snatch the identity of Kashmiris.
The session was presided over by Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar, which started an hour late. The session was witnessed by the full participation of government and opposition members of the assembly.
On this occasion, Speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar said that all political parties are completely united regarding the occupied Kashmir and the freedom movement.
We also thank the government of Pakistan, which condemned India’s unconstitutional measures in the strongest terms. He made it clear that we will not leave the Kashmiri brothers alone on this side under any circumstances.
The House unanimously passed a resolution strongly condemning India’s move to abolish the constitutional status of occupied Kashmir, human rights violations, and atrocities, and demanded that the United Nations and the international community put pressure on India to play a role in ensuring the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
