TURBAT (Kashmir English): Security forces confiscated a large quantity of narcotics and arrested a suspect during an intelligence-based operation on the M-8 highway, officials said on Wednesday.
According to sources, authorities stopped a suspicious Mazda vehicle (registration number TKN-101), which traveled from Pangur to Turbat at 1:00 AM on February 12, after Wing Intelligence Cell (WICE) 132 Wing provided a lead about the vehicle.
Officials discovered 375 kilograms of Ice (crystal methamphetamine) during their complete inspection of the vehicle because its street value reached Rs 187.5 million.
One person was taken into custody at the location. The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) received the detained suspect and the confiscated drugs for their investigation and prosecution process.
Officials described the operation as a major achievement that supports their ongoing battle against drug trafficking operations in the area.
