RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): At least 20 India-backed terrorists [khawarij] were killed in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on November 8 and 9, the military’s media wing said.
According to the ISPR statement, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general area of Shawal in North Waziristan district.
“During the conduct of the operation, our troops effectively engaged the khwarij location; eight Indian sponsored khwarij were sent to hell,” the statement added.
It further added that another intelligence-based operation was conducted in Dara Adam Khel district, and after an intense fire exchange, twelve more khwarij were effectively neutralized.
“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored kharji found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the statement stated.
