Unbeaten Pakistan to face Puerto Rico in U19 Volleyball Championship today

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan (Kashmir English): The unbeaten Pakistan will play their next game against Puerto Rico in the FIVB Volleyball U19 World Championship on Monday (today).

Pakistan’s under-19 volleyball side have maintained their unbeaten run at the World Championship without dropping a single set in the competition so far.

On Saturday, Pakistan beat Türkiye 3-0 in the World U-19 Volleyball Championship in Tashkent, the third consecutive win in the event.

The Pakistani side won the match in straight sets 25-17, 25-19, 25-19 to extend their winning streak to three consecutive games in the tournament.

Pakistan also defeated Belgium and hosts Uzbekistan earlier in the pool stage.

Volleyball Championship’s Round of 16

Victory against Türkiye also confirmed Pakistan’s place in the round of 16.

Captain Yahya led from the front with 14 points, including 13 from attacks, while Saud emerged as the match’s top scorer with 16 points to his name. Ajmal and Muhtad were also among the leading scorers.

Pakistan remain atop Pool A and will look to continue their winning streak when they face Puerto Rico in their next group stage match today.

Match against Puerto Rico will be followed by a game against Argentina in the last pool stage match on Tuesday.
