MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Kashmir Education Department has suspended the teacher who assaulted a fifth-grade student, and ordered an inquiry into the matter.
According to a notification issued by the Directorate of Elementary and Secondary Education, Rizwan Sharif, an elementary school teacher at Boys High School Sarar, Muzaffarabad, was found guilty of misconduct for assaulting Abdullah Abid, a fifth-grade student.
Teacher suspended
The department initiated action against the said teacher under Section 5 (1) of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Civil Servants Efficiency and Discipline Rules 1977 and suspended him from service under Section 6 (1).
Syed Faheem Asghar Gilani, Assistant Director, Directorate of Higher Elementary and Secondary Education (Male), Muzaffarabad, has been appointed as the inquiry officer, who will submit the inquiry report.
