DOWARIAN, Neelum Valley (Kashmir English): At least seven shops and two guest houses were completely destroyed in a fire that broke out at a Dowarian market in Neelum Valley in the wee hours of Tuesday, according to the initial reports.
Dowarian is a village in Neelum Valley of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan.
Officials of the emergency response unit reached the spot soon after they were called in to help the locals in putting out the fire. In the meantime, Shaarda fire vehicle unit of Neelum Emergency Response also reached the spot.
Emergency Response personnel arrived at the scene at 5:40am. A Pak Army unit along with the locals also helped the emergency unit in controlling the fire. The Fire Brigade managed to douse the flames in about half an hour.
According to the initial reports, seven shops, two guest houses and two bikes were completely destroyed in the incident.
Assistant Commissioner and high-rank police officials from Neelum supervised the whole process.
