ABBASPUR (Kashmir English): Qazi Saqib Shamim started road construction in Bheri and Harkariyan using his own personal funds after government inaction, addressing long-standing travel difficulties faced by residents due to poor infrastructure.

Good news of development for the residents of Harkariyan and Bheri as the President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Abbaspur, Qazi Saqib Shamim, has personally taken the initiative to manage a long-standing public demand. Recognizing the severe travel problems faced by locals, he has started road construction in the area using his own financial resources.

Basic infrastructure continues to be a constant problem in both rural settlements of Harkariyan and Bheri. In this area, the local residents have suffered from substandard roads together with transportation shortcomings for several years. Rain creates roads that people find almost impossible to navigate thus making it hard for anyone to move between places or to reach hospitals or schools. Residents face significant challenges when they attempt to move even between basic locations in the area.

The population of the area has submitted multiple requests to the authority officials regarding their transportation issues, to the road construction in Bheri, but the government authorities maintain a passive stance toward solving these problems. Qazi Saqib Shamim independently chose to finance the construction of this road because government officials had failed to respond to its urgent need. At the occasion, he repeated his commitment to assist residents by promising constant efforts to develop their standard of living through his main priority of addressing their current difficulties.

The local community members embrace this project because of its positive impact. The people of the region express deep thanks to this road construction project because it will simplify their daily life while also improving their access to places. The project will boost accessibility between these two locations to create better travel services that will raise quality of life standards for residents in Bheri and Harkariyan.

Harkariyan and Bheri are among the rural villages where the absence of basic infrastructure has been a constant issue. For many years, the poor condition of roads and insufficient transport facilities have made daily life increasingly difficult for the local population of the area. During heavy rainfall, like the recent storm spell in Azad Kashmir, the roads become nearly impassable, making it very difficult for people to travel, take sick people to the hospitals, or send children to school due to deteriorated roads and lack of road construction in Bheri.

The residents of the area have welcomed and appreciated road construction in Bheri. Many of the residents have expressed their gratitude and appreciation, acknowledging that this road construction is needed, and will significantly ease their daily struggles, making travel easier for them. The development is expected to improve connectivity, facilitate transport, and enhance the overall quality of life for the people of Harkariyan and Bheri.
